The Guest House was founded in 1972 and previously operated under the name Nakuru Community Centre. After major renovations it was rededicated in 2003 as part of the celebrations to mark 90 years of service to the nation and NCCK |

located 160 kilometers from Nairobi, a two-hour drive or 35-minute flight to Lanet airstrip (with a 25-minute) connecting drive to the centre.
